One day, more than 20 years ago, Victor Spinelli piloted his hot air balloon to 11,000 feet as jumping platform for sky divers. While descending, he noticed what looked like a high school from a mile up and made his way toward an empty area nearby. Spinelli soon learned that he had mistakenly landed on a prison ground. After landing, the warden and inmates all had a laugh about his mile-high confusion, posing for pictures with the balloon. It was soon thereafter that Spinelli decided to sell the balloon and start traveling.

Camera in hand.
From documentary photography to scintillating line of edgy, fun photographs to painting and sculpture. Victor Spinelli for the past 20 years has split his time between New York, the Mediterranean and California. The photography skills and artistry he developed along his travels have evolved into several multimedia platforms such as film, commercials, music videos, documentaries and print campaigns. After photographing the island life for three summers in Mykonos, Greece, Spinelli was drawn to another island in the Mediterranean: Ibiza, Spain. While in Ibiza, Spinelli was brought on board by Manumission, a surreal theatrical clubbing party, to document the inside of its production
